Origin: During the First World War, the U.S. government began selecting patriotic individuals to participate in “The Phoenix Project” – an experimental program to enhance their soldiers in the field. The experiment augmented any irregularities in their DNA, causing further mutations to occur. One of these subjects was Wilson Trent. Wilson was glad to support his country; he desired to do more with his life and to make a difference. The Phoenix Project would be his opportunity to do just that. After seeing the results from the project, the U.S. government created the Freedom Battalion, a group of enhanced individuals sanctioned to protect the populace from possible threats, both foreign and domestic. Wilson Trent is a founding member.

Special powers/Abilities: Cerulean Flame can transform into a being of living blue fire, with projection of blue flame blasts and the power of flight. He can generate intense heat over short distances. He can also create barriers and force fields to protect and heal his allies. Cerulean Flame can break and reshape metal objects with the heat he generates; exact limits of his power are unknown.
